Madhabpur Lake, Kamalganj, Moulvibazar

 

Madhabpur lake is an artificial reservoir located in Kamlganj upazila of Moulvibazar district of Sylhet. This lake is one of the tourist attractions of Bangladesh. This lake is located in the northeast corner of Bangladesh in the Patrakhala area of ​​Madhabpur union in Kamlganj upazila of Moulvibazar district of Sylhet division. Within 5 km distance of Kamlganj Upazila Sadar, the position of the Madhabpur Tea Garden under the National Tea Company (NTC) is located in the section (Patrakhala) of Madhabpur Tea Garden. This place is 5 km south of the district town Moulvibazar and one of the major tourist destinations in Bangladesh, 5 km east of Srimangal. A lot of water is needed for cultivation and various other reasons in the tea garden. But in these areas, the rainfall is high, but due to the sloping land, the water does not stay longer, so the garden authorities built the Madhabpur lake with three hills in the garden in the middle of the garden. The size of the Madhabpur lake is about 5 acres and 5 km in length; The width space is especially 5 to 5 meters. There is blue padma and purple shapala in the water of the lake; Golpata and Shaluk's bush can be seen. There are various colors of wild flowers in the tiller bushes, of which the flowers are the main. In the tea garden, the amount of natural plants is small; The shade tree is seen. Various varieties of poultry, sarali, pancondi, jalpi, etc. can be found in the water of the lake.

How to go : There is no direct communication system to come here as the tea garden is located; You have to come here through Sylhet or Moulvibazar. If you want to go to Madhabpur lake, you must first come from Dhaka to Kamlganj via Srimangal in Moulvibazar district by road or railway; Then you will have to reach the Madhabpur lake through the tea garden through the Bhanugach Chaumuhani of Kamlganj.
